Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah has visited the puja mandap in Bandar upazila of Narayanganj with the aim of celebrating the autumn Durga Puja smoothly and peacefully.
On Monday (September 29) afternoon, he visited the Sri Sri Brahmamayi Temple and Shrine, Sri Sri Durga Mandir Panchayat Committee, Sri Sri Laxmakali Temple and Rajaghat Beni Madhav Brahmachari Samadhi Temple in Bandar upazila. During this, he gave financial assistance to the puja celebration committee at the puja mandap.
At this time, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah said, when a festival is held, we give the utmost importance to how it can be celebrated peacefully and in a festive atmosphere. For this purpose, various departments and law enforcement agencies are providing us with all possible cooperation.
He also said, the puja pavilion of the port “When I came and saw that the puja is being celebrated in a more beautiful environment than I thought before the inspection. It seems that the people of our country have come forward to celebrate the festivals of all religions in a joyful atmosphere. This is a shining example of our communal harmony.”
The DC said, I have a responsibility for every event and the welfare of every person in the district. Government officials and employees work in the interest of the people, I am trying to fulfill that responsibility properly, the enthusiasm that I have noticed among you is our Bangladesh.
I want to showcase to the world the harmony in which we live. We have been conducting various activities since the beginning of the construction of the puja mandap and have not received any complaint of any untoward incident so far.
Among others, District Ansar Commandant Kaniz Farzana Shanta, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management) Naima Islam, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate (Nezarat Branch) Md. Tariqul Islam, Bandar Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mostafizur Rahman and General Secretary of Bandar Upazila Puja Celebration Committee Shyamal Chandra Biswas were also present.
