The main religious festival of the traditional religion followers will conclude with the immersion of idols on Vijaya Dashami, the last day of the Sharadiya Durgotsav in Narayanganj. The administration has already strengthened all kinds of security measures to complete the immersion smoothly and peacefully.
Senior officials of the district administration visited fish ghat number 3 of the city on Thursday (October 2) afternoon.

After the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah said, "We have visited every upazila. Durga Puja has been celebrated in a festive atmosphere with communal harmony. Within a few hours, the idols will come here for immersion and the immersion will be completed properly according to religious rituals. The demand of the puja pavilions to use the new ghat has been implemented. We hope that the remaining demands have also been met. Our goal is to conclude the Durga Puja peacefully without any untoward incident.

He further said, "The bond and harmony that we have seen between each other, regardless of religion or caste, in this festival is the real Bangladesh. Law enforcement agencies are on alert at every immersion ghat."

Colonel Khandaker Salauddin Chowdhury, RAB-11 Commander Lieutenant Colonel SM Sajjad Hossain, District Ansar Commandant Kaniz Farzana Shanta, Additional District Magistrate Nilufa Yasmin, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Alamgir Hossain, Puja Udjavan Parishad Narayanganj District President Shankar Kumar Dey, General Secretary Shipon Sarkar, Puja Udjavan Front Member Secretary Kartik Ghosh and other officials at various levels.
The district administration and city corporation have organized the idol immersion at Fish Ghat No. 3 in Narayanganj city. The organizers said that 13 ghats have been designated for the idol immersion of a total of 224 mandap in the district. In addition, idol immersion will be held locally at various places.
